So something Pastor Rhoden said on Saturday evening really has had me thinking the last few days and it was in regards to agape love and what exactly it is and how it can be explained. When we as humans go to yard sales or used car dealerships or craigslist, we are browsing for things but the price is set for the piece of merchandise as it is. It can be negotiated every now and again to lower the price. However, Jesus Christ is the only one to pay full price for "as is" merchandise.
I can't even fathom that idea that Christ had enough love for me that in spite of my shortcomings and sin, He would send His one and only son to die for me (Romans 5:8).
